At Vital Records Online, we understand that circumstances may change, and you might need to cancel your order. We aim to provide a clear and fair cancellation policy to assist you in this process. Please take a moment to review our cancellation policy:

Cancellation Period

For Electronic Download and Home Delivery packages, you may cancel your order within 120 days from the day of purchase, if the package has not been used.

For Standard Delivery, Rush, File to the State, and File to The County packages, you may cancel your order if the application has not been processed or shipped to the Health Department.

For our all-inclusive service or any order made, related to vital records, on or after November 30th, 2023, you may cancel your order if the application has not been processed or shipped to the Health Department.

Requesting a Cancellation

To cancel your application, please log in to your account here. Once logged in, navigate to the ‘Dashboard’ tab and locate the ‘My Applications’ section. Click on the ‘Track Application’ button. At the bottom of the page, you will find the option to cancel your application.

Also, you can request the cancellation by contacting our customer support team at +1 844-387-0200 or email us at [email protected]. Include your order number and the reason for cancellation in your request.

Eligibility for Refund

If your cancellation request is made within the specified 24-hour window and we have not initiated processing or shipping, you will be eligible for a full refund of the purchase price, including any additional shipping fees you may have paid.

Notary Fees for Online Notaries

Please note that if you’ve selected a package that requires the application to be notarized, and have already completed the notary process, the $25 notary fee is non-refundable since it is provided by a third party.

Processing Time

Refunds will be processed within 1-2 business days after approval.

Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during the purchase, with no exceptions. Please allow time for the refund to appear in your account.

Expedited Process and Shipping:

If your application has been expedited or shipped to the Health Department before the cancellation request, we will not be able to process a refund. In such cases, the cancellation request will be void.
