The shipping of vital certificates, once processed by the Health Department, is typically managed and shipped by the Health Department itself.

The shipping method refers to shipping the application documents from the customer’s address to the corresponding Health Department office.
- First Class Mail with USPS – $0: This option includes a pre-paid shipping label for customers to send their application from their home to the corresponding Health Department office.
- USPS Priority Mail – $10: Customers can opt for this faster shipping option if they prefer expedited delivery.
For Home Delivery Packages
The shipping method refers to shipping the application documents from the customer’s address to the corresponding Health Department office.
- First Class Mail with USPS – $0: This option includes a pre-paid shipping label for customers to send their application from their home to the corresponding Health Department office.
- 2-Day Priority Shipping with FedEx or Fastest Carrier Available – $10: Customers choosing this option can expect expedited delivery to the Health Department.
For Standard Delivery Packages
The shipping method refers to shipping the application documents from Vital Records Online to the corresponding Health Department office.
- First Class Mail with USPS – $0: We offer this option for shipping the certificate from the corresponding Health Department office to the customer’s shipping address.
- 2-Day Priority Shipping with FedEx or Fastest Carrier Available – $10: Customers can choose this expedited shipping option for quicker delivery of their certificate from the corresponding Health Department office to the customer’s shipping address.
For Rush Packages
- Next-Day FedEx or Fastest Carrier Available – No Extra Cost: This shipping option is included in the Rush Package, allowing swift delivery of the application documents from Vital Records Online to the Health Department and faster delivery of their certificate from the Health Department to the customer’s shipping address.

All-Inclusive Service
The shipping method refers to shipping the application documents from Vital Records Online to the corresponding Health Department office.
- First Class Mail with USPS – $0: We offer this option by default for shipping the application documents directly from Vital Records Online to the corresponding Health Department office.
- 2-Day Priority Shipping with FedEx or Fastest Carrier Available – Starting from $20: Customers can choose this expedited shipping option for quicker delivery of their certificate from the corresponding Health Department office to the customer’s shipping address.
Send to County Health Department Office
The shipping method offered refers to shipping a certificate from the corresponding Health Department office to the customer’s shipping address.
- First Class Mail with USPS – $0: We offer this option for shipping the certificate from the corresponding Health Department office to the customer’s shipping address.
- 2-Day Priority Shipping with FedEx or Fastest Carrier Available – $10: Customers can choose this expedited shipping option for quicker delivery of their certificate from the corresponding Health Department office to the customer’s shipping address.
Shipping Methods

Our primary shipping methods include the United States Postal Service (USPS) and FedEx, which are utilized for expedited shipping options. In case the address of the Health Department is a P.O. Box, it will be used UPS.
Average Handling and Shipping Times

- Electronic Download Package: Handling is not applicable as this package includes electronic download. Shipping time may vary based on the selected option (First Class Mail or Priority Mail).
- Home Delivery Package: Handling is not applicable. Shipping time ranges from 3 to 7 business days for First Class Mail and varies based on carrier for 2-day Priority Shipping.
- Standard Delivery Package: Handling typically takes 2 business days. Shipping time ranges from 3 to 7 business days for First Class Mail and varies based on carrier for 2-day Priority Shipping.
- California Standard Delivery Package: Handling takes 1 business day. Application E-File electronically to California IT Processing system.
- Rush Package: Handling typically occurs on the same day or within 1 business day. Shipping is via the Next Day delivery envelope.
- Send to State Health Department: Handling typically takes 2 business days. Shipping time varies based on the selected option (First Class Mail or 2-day Priority Shipping).
- Send to County Health Department Office: Handling typically occurs on the same day or within 1 business day. Shipping time varies based on the selected option (First Class Mail or 2-day Priority Shipping).
Starting November 30th, 2023, all orders (except for California) are considered All-Inclusive.
- All-Inclusive Service: Handling typically takes 2-5 business days. Shipping time varies based on the selected shipping option – First Class Mail (by default) or Expedite Return Envelope (2-day Priority Shipping).
- Expedite Handling for All-Inclusive Service: Handling typically is done within the same business day up to 2 business days. Shipping time varies based on the selected shipping option – First Class Mail (by default) or Expedite Return Envelope (2-day Priority Shipping).
